ECCE
The ECCE is designed for individuals who have a high intermediate to low advanced level of English language communicative competency. It is useful for inclusion in Curricula Vitaes. The Michigan Certificate Examinations are developed and produced by the Testing and Certification Division of the English Language Institute of the University of Michigan (ELI-UM) in Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA. Each year a new form of each examination is produced for administration to individuals who want a certificate as evidence of their competency or proficiency in English. The language used in these examinations is standard American English. The examinations are administered once a year in different countries around the world at ELI-UM’s authorized Test Centers, which work in collaboration with the ELI-UM staff. Examinees may take either test only once a year. The examination papers are sent to ELI-UM where the tests are scored, results are determined and certificates are prepared. Certificates are then sent to the Test Centers for distribution. The results arrive at the Test Center a few months after the test. Each examinee’s performance on the various sections of the examination is reported to the Test Center. Those who are successful receive a certificate that is distributed by the Test Center.
